The 33-year-old has recently been strongly linked with the likes of AC Milan and Brazilian side Internacional.

Forlan told Inter Milan's official website: "For the time being I have a contract with Inter and in the next few days I will return to Italy.

"The media reports linking me with a move to Internacional are just rumours."
