Deschamps confirmed as new France boss

Former Marseille manager Didier Deschamps has been confirmed as Laurent Blanc's successor as boss of the France national team.

Deschamps held talks with the French Football Federation in Paris on Saturday.

The FFF has now confirmed the appointment of the former France national team skipper.

Deschamps' first match in charge will be against Uruguay in Le Havre on 15th August.
