Rodgers desperate to keep Maxi at Liverpool
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers admits he will try to persuade Maxi Rodriguez to stay at Anfield.
The Argentina international has admitted that he is unsettled at Liverpool and is reportedly keen on a return to Argentina.
"I would love to have him here as he is a very good player and would be very good for our squad," said Rodgers.
"He will understand 120 per cent about the way I want us to play. But sometimes there are issues. It has been difficult for his family.
"I have had a couple of really good conversations with him. It was difficult for him last season. He probably felt he should have played more."
