Former Liverpool star set to sign new Barcelona deal
Former Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano is set to sign a new contract with Spanish giants Barcelona.Mascherano's current contract with the Catalan giants is set to expire in 2014.
Sport reports that the Argentina international is close to signing a new contract with the club.
The 28-year-old's agent, Walter Tamer, has held talks with sporting diector Andonio Zubizarreta regarding an extension.
Mascherano joined Barcelona in a €22million deal from Liverpool in the summer of 2010.
