Melo seems likely to leave Juventus on a permanent deal this summer, but the new Spartak coach says it won't be to join his side.

"It's a lie," Emery told TuttoJuve.com. "I absolutely deny the news of Spartak Moscow's interest in Felipe Melo. We cannot guarantee him a certain kind of wage.

"I know him well and I will say that is a good player, but if Spartak cannot afford his wages, the discussion ends there.

"Even if this was [Lionel] Messi, I'd like him, but I know that it is not feasible."
