Arsenal urge Sahin to stall on Liverpool move

Arsenal have urged Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin to stall on a move to Liverpool.

Sahin was expected to complete a one-year loan to Liverpool yesterday.

The Sun reports that Arsenal asked the 23-year-old to delay a decision.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keen to beat Liverpool's offer to Real Madrid and sign Sahin.

Wenger is keen to sign Sahin as a replacement for Alex Song, who could join Barcelona for £15million.
