Liverpool and Arsenal target to leave Barcelona
Ibrahim Afellay“s agent, Rob Jansen, has revealed that the Dutch midfielder is set to leave Barcelona.
The former PSV Eindhoven star is expected to leave the Catalan giants on loan before the transfer window closes later this week.
"He has the qualities to succeed at Barcelona, but endured a setback with his injury. It might therefore be better to try and get more playing time elsewhere. We're currently in the process of looking into the possibilities," Jansen stated to Studio Voetbal.
"We are talking about a loan move here. It all depends on Barcelona, though. They decide where their players are going. There are a number of clubs that are very concrete. We are in talks with several clubs."
Afellay joined Barcelona from PSV Eindhoven in January 2011, but has recently been strongly linked with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal.
