PSG "as stupid as we are" - Nicollin

Louis Nicollin, the Montpellier chief, says it is comforting for the Ligue 1 champions that Paris St Germain are struggling.

Montpellier have taken just one point in three as they begin their title defence, but Nicollin is pleased that their struggles are overshadowed by the Parisians, who have drawn all three of their matches despite spending heavily again.

"We have all the ingredients for success; the lads have played together for a while, and they're quality players.

"But things look bleak. Right now, I'm not happy, but when I saw PSG draw 0-0 with Bordeaux, it was comforting. I said to myself, 'They're as stupid as we are.'"
