Man City striker close to return

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has refused to rule out a return to action for Argentina in 2014 World Cup qualifying.

The 24-year-old striker is close to shaking off a knee injury.

Aguero picked up the injury while falling awkwardly in City's Premier League opener against Southampton.

"I'm here until the Peru game," said Aguero.

"The knee still hurts at the moment and it bothers me, but maybe in two or three days the landscape will change.

"Now I'm going to see the doctors of the Argentinian Football Association."

"It's always nice to be here with the guys," added the 24-year-old.

"We knew from the Under-20s that this was a good group, and we must continue in this way."
