Montpellier defender disappointed not to get move

Montpellier's Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa has said he had Arsenal and AC Milan after him this summer.

The French defender revealed that he wanted to leave but realised that it would not be easy to get a move.

"Arsenal made a tentative approach", Yanga-Mbiwa said when talking to L’Equipe.

"But then there was something else. I was disappointed when I saw that I would not be going to AC Milan.

"The president told me that I had a good potential destination. I was ready to pack my bags. AC Milan came to me, but the president declined the offer.

"After that I realised that it would be complicated."
