Wenger talks up Arsenal potential

Arsene Wenger insisted yesterday that Arsenal could win the league but urged focus rather than encouraging his players to dream.

Arsenal continued an impressive start to the season with a 1-1 draw at the champions, Manchester City, and could have won the game were it not for some wayward finishing from Ivorian forward Gervinho.

"We have the potential and attitude," the Arsenal manager said. "Time will tell if we can keep the attention and focus. We refused to lose the game today and came back well.

"We are happy with the team performance but a little frustrated because we had chances with Gervinho when we could have won. Gervinho was a danger but he was nervous in his finishing."
