Valverde appointed Valencia coach
Ernesto Valverde has been appointed the new coach of Valencia, replacing Mauricio Pellegrino.Pellegrino was fired after a 5-2 defeat at home to Real Sociedad at the weekend.
That left the club 12th, and Valverde arrives back in Spain after having won a league and cup double in Greece with Olympiakos last season.
