Arsenal have struggled recently in the league and Wenger wants to boost the numbers in his squad so that he can rotate more effectively.

"Every transfer period is an important period and we will add what we need", he said in an online press conference on the Arsenal website.

"We know this is a very important period for us. That’s why our focus is on the games, not the transfer market."
