The Brazilian signed for PSG from AC Milan in the summer, and thought that the quality would not be as high as in Italy.

The 28-year-old said: "I thought this championship would be easier and it surprises me more and more each time.

"I have played poorly in some games, thinking it would be easy, but the attackers are very strong and they put me in trouble in defence because I'm not a very physical player.

"It is difficult for me to mark this type of player. The Italian championship is much more based on tactics."
