Pellegrini thrilled with win

Manuel Pellegrini said he was thrilled with his Malaga team after they beat Real Madrid on Saturday.

The 3-2 win means that the Andalucians are two points off Real Madrid in third place.

“It's really important for us to enjoy this moment, rounding off a fantastic year,” he told a Press conference. "We're now looking ahead to the second part of the season.

“The holidays are a great time for us to recharge our batteries and regain our physical and mental strength.

“We've worked extremely hard, and that shows on the pitch. It's an absolute joy to end the year on such a high.

“It's been a fantastic 12 months. It really is an amazing victory for us.”
