Messi hails "unbelievable" award

Leo Messi has said that winning a fourth Ballon D'Or award is "quite unbelievable".

The Argentine was given the award at a ceremony in Zurich last night, and was thrilled to be honoured once again.

“To tell you the truth this is quite unbelievable,” said Messi. “The fourth award that I’ve had..it’s too great for words. I would like to recognise my other colleagues from Barcelona. Iniesta, it’s been a great honour to be alongside you, not only today but to train alongside you and play alongside you.

“I would also like to recognise all of my friends from the Argentinean national team, and just everybody that’s been involved with me, coaches and staff.”
