Suarez handled the ball before scoring against Mansfield in the FA Cup last weekend, the latest in a string of controversies he has been involved in since arriving in England.

"I don't know whether he enjoys [being controversial], but it is something we hope we don't suffer from ourselves," Ferguson said.

"I never saw the game last Sunday, so it is difficult to say whether it was a deliberate handball."
