Slow start to African Nations Cup

There were no goals on the opening day of action at the African Cup of Nations.

Hosts South Africa drew 0-0 with shock qualifiers Cape Verde in the opening game.

Then Morocco failed to take advantage of their superiority against Angola as their clash also finished goalless.
