Reina would accept Barcelona move

Pepe Reina would accept the opportunity to return to Barcelona, according to the Liverpool goalkeeper's father.

Reina is being linked with a move to the Camp Nou as a long term replacement for Victor Valdes.

“He would be more than delighted to return to Barcelona,” reflected the Miguel Reina to laxarxa.com today.

“He did well from the moment he arrived there as a 12-year-old to when he left. I think Pepe has sufficiently demonstrated since then the quality of goalkeeper that he is.

“Nowadays, I think he would rise to the occasion. Moreover, he would be ideal as the Barcelona ‘keeper, certainly.”
