Heynckes criticises timing of Guardiola announcement
Jupp Heynckes has criticised the timing of the decision of Bayern Munich to announce the arrival of Pep Guardiola as his successor this summer.
Heynckes was quitting as Bayern coach in any case, but last week the Spaniard was confirmed as the club's next coach.
"It would have been better to do it during the winter break", Heynckes told Sky Deutschland. "Before Christmas, during the holidays, because the [media] hype might interfere with a normal working day."
