Giroud plays down Benzema rivalry
Olivier Giroud insists he is not preoccupied with trying to displace Karim Benzema as France's first choice centre forward.
The Arsenal man has emerged as the country's second choice striker in the last six months.
Giroud told L'Equipe: "I do not aspire to take the place of Karim Benzema, to claim the position of centre-forward for Les Bleus. I want to be consistent with my performances. That is my ambition."
