Galliani - El Shaarawy "protected"
Adriano Galliani, the AC Milan vice-president, has spoken of his pleasure at "protecting" Stephan El Shaarawy by agreeing a new contract with the player.
The prolific forward has agreed a new five year deal, to ward off any speculation over his future.
“El Shaarawy is completely protected now,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “Having lowered the age of the team [last summer] we now do not need to sell our best players.
“We've got back on track very quickly. Our fans understand this project.”
