Roura hails Messi genius

Jordi Roura hailed Leo Messi after the Argentine struck twice in last night's historic win over AC Milan.

The Barcelona forward was doubted by some for his form, bizarrely, given that he has scored 53 goals this season and is on a run of scoring in 17 successive La Liga games, a world record. And against Milan Messi once again showed his supreme genius and proved that he is without doubt the world's top player.

"People speculated that Messi was not in a good moment, they said I-don't-know-what and I-don't-know-why, this and that. But if anyone had any doubts about Leo, they only have to look at tonight," Roura said.

"He gave another magisterial lesson in how to play football. He has shown once again that he is extraordinary and that on the big occasions, surrounded by great players, he can do amazing things."
