Mourinho missing something - Cruyff

Johan Cruyff believes Jose Mourinho's managerial skills suffer because he never played the game.

Cruyff, one of the most influential coaches in football history for his exploits and more importantly legacy at Barcelona, says that Mourinho misses crucial details that he would understand if he'd played the game. Cruyff and Mourinho's football philosophies could not be more different.

“Mourinho is a very good Coach,” Cruyff told Cadena Cope. “But he has never played, so he's missing something – and it shows.

“Those who have played notice it in the details, but that does not mean that he's not a good Coach.

“Things have become a bit confused recently. Madrid in the two games [against Barca] were between life and death. Barca meanwhile have already justified their position.”
