Miliband resigns in protest after di Canio appointment
David Miliband, Britain's former Foreign Secretary, has resigned from Sunderland Football Club.
Miliband was a non executive director at the club after taking up the role in 2011.
But he has quit now because of the political views of new manager Paolo di Canio, who has in the past called himself a fascist.
