Klopp angry at timing of Gotze announcement

Jurgen Klopp was left angry with the timing of the announcement that Mario Gotze will be leaving Borussia Dortmund for Bayern Munich.

Both clubs were forced to reveal details of the deal yesterday after it was reported in Bild, but Dortmund were aggrieved that it threw a spanner in the works as they prepare to face Real Madrid in the Champions League tonight.

"It could have been worse: it could have happened a couple of hours before the game," Klopp said. "But on a scale of one to 10, this is a nine. We all know why it has come out now. We don't know why the people who have leaked this have done so at such a delicate time. We can only speculate but we are all making the same suppositions."
