Cavani talks up Madrid move

Edinson Cavani has added fuel to the talk of a potential transfer to Real Madrid from Napoli.

The Uruguayan, currently in Brazil on Confederations Cup duty, has been heavily linked with Real Madrid, with Chelsea and Manchester City seemingly unwilling to pay the transfer fee required for his services.

“Who could say no...to Real Madrid?” Cavani told ElPais. “Let us be honest, here.

“What do I know about my transfer? For the moment absolutely nothing. There is nothing concrete to report, only what you read in the newspapers, which is anything but official.

“Of course it’s wonderful for any player to be sought-after. Whoever does prove they have faith in my will have everything, but for the moment the only things surrounding me are rumours.”
