Vilanova steps down at Barcelona
Tito Vilanova has stepped down from his position as coach of Barcelona due to health reasons.
Vilanova missed much of last season after being appointed to replace Pep Guardiola because of throat cancer.
"Following routine tests, it was decided that he would follow a course of treatment to continue to control his illness that is incompatible with fulfilling his role as coach of the first team," club President Sandro Rosell said.
