Wenger lambasts Real Madrid for Bale bid
Arsene Wenger has criticised the size of Real Madrid's reported bid for Gareth Bale.
Bale could become the first nine figure footballer in the days to come as Real Madrid prepare to spend as much as £100 million on the Welshman.
"It makes a joke of the financial fair play regulations," Arsenal manager Wenger said. "I find it amazing that in the year the regulations come in, world football has gone completely crazy. You wonder what kind of impact and effect financial fair play has on the football world. It looks like it has made everybody worse than before."
