Man Utd star Rooney named in England squad
Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has been named in Roy Hodgson's England squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Montenegro and Poland.
Rooney missed United's 1-1 draw away to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Wednesday with a shin injury.
Hodgson is confident that Rooney will be fit to feature for England.
"We are reliably informed that it's not a serious injury and it won't stop him joining up with us," he said.
