De Guzman keen to make Swansea move permanent

Dutch midfielder Jonathan De Guzman admits he is keen to make his move to Premier League side Swansea permanent.

The 26-year-old is currently on loan at Swansea from Spanish side Villarreal.

De Guzman's contract at Villarreal is set to expire in 2016 and the Spanish side are keen to recoup some of the 7million they paid to sign him from rivals Mallorca.

"For the last three years I've been moving on each season," he told the Daily Star.

"This is the first season I've stayed with the same team, so we'll see what happens at the end of the season.

"It's probably been the turning point coming here. I am getting minutes on the pitch again and playing on a great stage in the Premier League. Then in February I got the call up for the national team."
