Napoli keen on Chelsea defender

Napoli manager Rafael Benitez is ready to raid his former club Chelsea for Spanish defender Cesar Azpilicueta.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Benitez is keen to strengthen at the back in January and is keen to bring Azpilicueta to Italy.

Azpilicueta impressed Benitez during the Spaniards six months in charge at Stamford Bridge.

The 24-year-old joined Chelsea from French side Marseille in a 7million deal in August 2012.

Azpilicueta is keen on regular first team football in order to secure himself a place in the Spanish squad for the World Cup and could be interested in a move to Napoli.
