Man Utd 7- 1 Roma

Manchester United won 7-1 over Roma at Old Trafford in the Champions League last night, a result that sent records tumbling.

The 7-1 victory by United is the biggest victory in a European Cup or Champions League quarter-final since Real Madrid beat Seville 8-0 in 1958.

It is also the biggest winning margin ever in a Champions League knock-out round match.

It was United's biggest win since beating Waterford 7-1 in autumn 1968.
