Inter Milan winger Figo: I won't join LA Galaxy

Portuguese legend Luis Figo insists he will not be joining David Beckham at LA Galaxy.

Inter Milan wants Figo to play on for another season at the club.

LA Galaxy general manager Alexi Lalas has said he is following Figo's situation very carefully.

He told Portuguese Radio Renascenca: "Either I will play for another year at Inter or I will retire from professional football.

"Considering the affection shown to me by the fans, the President and teammates, I would remain at Inter.

"The alternative is to retire. There are no negotiations in place with other clubs."
