Young sustained a torn hamstring in training last week and scans have revealed the injury is worse than first feared.

"The doctor has told me Luke will need at least another two weeks because it is a minor tear," Villa boss Gerard Houllier confirmed.

"It's a blow because it's worse than we initially thought."
