Italian giants Lazio have reportedly joined the chase for Sporting Lisbon star Ricky van Wolfswinkel.

The Dutchman has recently been strongly linked with the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool.

The Sunday Mirror reports that United and Liverpool were expected to wait until the summer to make bids for the Dutchman, but could yet be forced into action in the January transfer window.

Lazio are keen to strengthen their attacking options and are keen to sign Van Wolfswinkel in the January transfer window.
