Man City sign Inter Milan star

Manchester City have confirmed the signing of Brazilian defender Maicon from Inter Milan.

City managed to beat Spanish giants Real Madrid in the race to sign the 31-year-old defender.

"Brazilian defender Maicon has joined Manchester City on a permanent contract," read a statement released on the club's official website.

"The right-back moves to the Blues from Inter Milan for an undisclosed fee."
