Liverpool join race for Del Piero

Liverpool have reportedly made a late move for former Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero.

Del Piero is out of contract and reports have strongly linked the forward with a move to Australian outfit Sydney FC.

Sion and Southampton are also reported to be interested in the Italian forward.

Reports now suggest that Del Piero has received a late offer from Liverpool and is considering joining the Premier League side.
