Jupp Heynckes insisted he was disappointed with the way Bayern Munich finished their Champions League opener with Valencia last night, despite winning 2-1.

He felt that his team had let their guard down too easily having gone 2-0 up, and Bayern also missed an injury time penalty.

"The final phase of the game was unsatisfactory. When you lead 2-0 you cannot let your guard down and it is equally annoying that we do not take full advantage of the penalty," said Heynckes.
