Barcelona's Cesc Fabregas will miss the rest of 2012 with a thigh muscle injury sustained in last night's win over Real Betis.

Fabregas had to be taken off just 10 minutes into the game for Alexis Sanchez.

It is a blow for Barca, as Fabregas had been in great form in recent weeks, and will now miss league games at home to Atletico Madrid, away to Real Valladolid and Cordoba in the King's Cup.
