Sampdoria appoint Rossi as new coach

Delio Rossi has been appointed the new coach of Sampdoria, replacing Ciro Ferrara.

Ferrara was fired after a poor start to the season, despite only arriving in the summer.

Rossi now returns to the game for the first time after leaving Fiorentina towards the end of last season.
