Man Utd star to miss Liverpool clash

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Wayne Rooney will be out of action for another two weeks.

Rooney is struggling with a knee injury that he sustained in training on Christmas Day.

The England striker will miss United clash with Liverpool next week.

"Wayne is still injured," said Ferguson.

"It is not serious but it is going to take longer than we thought, probably another two weeks. He won't be fit for Liverpool."
