Paciencia felt defeated – Pablo

Deportivo la Coruna’s Pablo has revealed that Domingos Paciencia resigned as coach because he felt “defeated” just a month into his reign at the club.

Paciencia arrived during the winter break to help steer the club away from relegation trouble, but they remain rooted to the foot of the table.

“Domingos told us that he felt defeated, exhausted and that he could not find the solution, but there was still time and perhaps another Coach can find the appropriate solution, because a lot of damage has been done, especially with the last four straight losses,” Pablo told a press conference.

“If he thought that the team was against him, the captains told him that we were with him, but today we were told that an agreement was reached and the Coach left the club.”
