Parker convinced Faye about Charlton move

“Last season in December, Alan Curbishley wanted me here. This was not possible as I was going in the African Nations.”, Faye said.

“I spoke to Scott Parker, who knew Charlton, before I came.

“He said it was a very good club, a nice family club – and that I would really enjoy it.

“So, I eventually came in the summer. Now, it’s very important for me to do well.

“People at Charlton do not really know me, so I know I have to do everything for the team.

“We need to start scoring and get some wins. It has also been difficult with injuries. Now we just need a small little bit of luck.

“As a manager, I really like Iain Dowie. He is quite similar to Harry Redknapp.

“He is funny, likes hard work and loves his football. This makes life enjoyable for a footballer.”
