Pellegrini appointment held up by Malaga

Malaga have delayed the appointment of Manuel Pellegrini by Manchester City as their new manager because of late payments.

The Daily Mirror claim that the Spanish side have not paid Pellegrini’s wages for the last two months, and a third month in a row would mean he could leave for free without City paying compensation.

Football Espana claim that Bernd Schuster will be appointed as Pellegrini’s replacement at Malaga.
