Pizarro thrilled with hat trick

Claudio Pizarro was thrilled with his quick fire hat trick for Bayern Munich last night.

Pizarro’s treble set Bayern on the way to a crushing 6-1 win over French side Lille.

“It has been some time that I have scored three goals in one half,” he said. “I am very happy to have scored.

“We played very well from the start and the early goal was important,” he added in reference to Bastian Schweinsteiger’s fifth minute goal from a curled free kick.

“Then the goals started coming. It was just fun to play out there tonight. I hope it continues like that.”
