Portsmouth boss Tony Adams admitted his team was very disappointed following their 2-2 draw with AC Milan on Thursday.
Pompey were just a minute from beating the Rossoneri, but Filippo Inzaghi levelled the score in injury-time.
Adams said: “They are gutted. They are deflated as they feel they should have and could have won.
“I’m not feeling that disappointed because of the performance but the guys are a bit flat as they wanted some reward for their hard work.
“I am really proud of the guys and the way we played. That was the best performance I have had since I’ve been manager.”
