QPR skipper signs new deal

The new two-year contract extension will kee Onuoha at Loftus Road until the summer of 2018.

Onuoha told the club’s official website: “The last three and a half years have most certainly been exciting to say the least,” he said.

“The way the club is looking now, aiming to stabilise for the future, it’s another exciting period ahead.”

Onuoha joined Rangers from Manchester City in January 2012.

He added: “I’m enjoying my role as captain – everyone is here for the right reasons, everyone wants the same thing, so it makes my job easier.

“We’re pleased with how we’ve started the season. I felt in pre-season we had something and that we could get positives results in this division, and so far that’s proved to be the case.”
