Ranieri rules out Roma exit

Roma boss Claudio Ranieri insists he is not considering quitting the Italian giants.

Ranieri could be axed following a string of poor results, including their 3-1 loss to Basel in the Champions League.

“I am not thinking about quitting because I am not a coach who gives up when the going gets tough and I expect the team to react,” he told Il Corriere dello Sport.

“Will we have a directors meeting? I don’t know about this. As for the fan protests, this is football and so I am not surprised.

“When you win, the fans always back you. When you lose, they are against you.”
