Shanghai Shenhua stripped of title

Shanghai Shenhua have been stripped of their 2003 Chinese league title as a result of the country’s match fixing inquiry.

Shanghai were found guilty of involvement for fixing the result of a game against Shanxi Guoli.

Eleven other clubs have been punished in one of the widest ranging investigations in Chinese football.
